Hey guys - just got back from day two of the NMRA Australasian Region Convention where I entered two models into the "Category K" contest (The K is for kitbashed.) Anyway - I entered two models and took two first places! One for "Prototype Motive Power" and one for "Detailed Plastic Model, Rolling Stock." The Loco was my model of SOO 6613 SD40-2 that is described and shown right here at trainboard in the HO forum. The rolling stock is an Athearn Husky Stack - factory painted with details added, brush painted to match the Athearn paint and weathered with an airbrush. I have a photo of that somewhere and will post a picture and describe how I build it in the HO forum some time soon. The only bummer - they didn't give out ribbons in the Category K oh well... The Layout tours are tomorrow. I'll give a detailed report in the Aussie forum later this week

Rob, Congrats on your win! Your SOO SD40-2 is a very good model, it's easy to see why you won. Looking forward to those Husky Stack pics.
