Here is a surprise! My wife and I found out that we are expecting in August!! I am really excited and our 5-year-old is pretty happy too. The only problem is that with doctors, work, school, and this I am afraid that I will have very little time to dedicate to the board this year. Certainly no time for modeling as such...

    John,
Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your second child :D I hope everything runs smooth over the next 9 months and a new modeller is brought into this world.

    John,
Congrats  Between family and model railroads, ya gotta put family first- you can always use whatever personal downtime you have to plan, scheme, plot & deam new stuff for the RR when you have time once again. When Kyle was born, I lost my entire RR room to him (little fella needed a nursery), but I still kept working on models.

Best wishes to you & your family, and the future big brother :D PS- I'll keep an eye out for a baby Frisco engineer's hat [IMG]

Congratulations, John, on the upcoming addition.

For those who are wondering how it happened, may I suggest www.google.com and use the search criteria 'conception+pregnancy :D Gary.

    Congratulations John,
Since you already have one you know not to speak to them until they are at least 6 or 7, have them address you as 'grand imperial poobah' or some such means of respect. When they are 9 bring them down to the layout and allow them to clean the floor for a year, then they get to clean the track for another 18 months after that... well good luck and God Speed to your wife, who'll be doing all the work anyhow!
