My buddy John got to go to the pudacha shops last weekend and he got a photo of this new bad boy! http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=248200 From what I hear they have 6 of these all together and this is the only one painted so far.
Nice to see this kind of power on a non-Class I! BTW I tried to navigate to the website they have painted on the front side of the cab (INRD.COM) and it doesn't work--you have to add the "www" prefix to get it to work. Jamie
Ooooooooooo!!! Sharp looking machine! What part of rtheir system will this work? Any specific line? Boxcab E50
I hadn't been aware this was coming. I was hoping for W&LE to keep the SD90s their leasing (which are true 90s, aren't they?) It shows a lot about the modern railroading scene that smaller lines can make use of large modern power.
OK, I did a little research, and I found a post in Loco Notes (a Yahoo group) that refers to a Progressive Railroading article stating that INRD is leasing six SD9043MACs from CIT, as well as a sizeable number of coal hoppers. The leased power will allow for a power reduction on trains, and a possible retirement of older power.
