cwwrman, I hate to "count your rivets", but Navy Set #2 was not geared toward the carriers, more toward the smaller ships. A carriers anchor and chain would not fit in a 50' gon, trust me !!! Also, MTL did a battle series recently using baggage cars or RPOs or something.

I approached Atlas a couple years ago about doing a chop nose version of the GP 7/9 and I basically got told to take flying f... in a rolling doughnut. When I explained to the rep that they already had the cab, from the SD 26, all they needed to do was to make the short hood and slightly re-tool the mechanism. The Atlas rep told me there was no market for a chop nose GP 7/9 in N scale. I think they are missing the boat.
