Gwyl, I needed MMM containers because I bought some FR Gunderson cars and Tim's Thrall cars. They ddn't come with containes, so I desided to give them a try. I order some MTL and some Marklin copatible container, and the pins do align correctly for the different manufactures. Tony is working like a madman on his modules, so what is happening with yours. I know you are a modern guy just like me. Have you dcc your SD70 yet? I would love to see a long string of double stacks pulled by some modern six axle power in Tony's modules. I think grade adds fun to the layout. Recently, I was able to speed match my Dash-9 with my SD70. That is what is the kind of moder power I want on my tracks.

John, sorry I missed this post or I would have responded sooner. Yes I have 2 modules that are not as far along as Tony's but I'm to the point where we are going to need to match up the modules for a correct fit so I can start to lay some track! Yahoo!!! I too have some of Tim's cars and the containers will come in handy. We are planning on having some long strings of container trains on the modules along with some mixed freight strings to. Modern rules as far as I'm concerned and I will have many six axle locos on duty to keep things rolling smoothly. A couple of weekends ago I was able to visit Tony in Park City and we ran a couple of his trains for a couple of hours. I was really inspired when I saw the work that Tony has done.
Gwyl, is good to hear the progress of your modules. I wouldn't worry about that you are behind Tony. He works with amazing speed.
I finally found some time to strip and repaint some containers. Tim send me some Bobby Banana decals. Its something I been asking for a while. I guess all that begging really helps. Good job on the Bobby Banana decals Tim.

I swear, all this Intermodal Equipment and Well Cars would make for one huge outstanding Intermodal Yard Scene!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------- What Intermodal Have you been doing Lately???? ---------------------------------------------------------- I have 2 sets of Maxi III TTX Decals to print and ship. I am still printing Maxi III decals for those modeler who are purchasing the Maxi III kits from Harald Freudenreich in Germany. I will print decals as long as he makes the kits available. At this time I only have the TTX available. I do plan on making some for the Southern Pacific, a BNSF patch over ATSF(different from FR's BNSF), A BRAN patch over(Not a Pacer Stacktrain version), and one or two others that don't come to mind. I will not make any CSX or BNSF decals for the Maxi III's as Harald already produces these RTR and he has asked me not too. I own a set of the BNSF from Harald and the Pad Printing is Spectacular. All of the lettering is crisp and readable. Note: I will be leaving on 1 March for Texas to work an 8 week job. I will not have access to my decal printer. If you need a set of TTX decals please contact me before that time. SD70ACe Update David, This is my list of "Will Get Done" before I leave for Texas. 12 Mi-Jacks out the door 2 Maxi III's out the door Thrall's to Rob K. SD70ACe molded/cast/etched/kit'd and various other stuff This list will be complete by next Friday. Mi-Jack's need 4 each inner wheel guards glued on to finish (tonight). One Maxi III with decals and one waiting, then coupler trucks on both and silver walkways to finish (tonight). 12 Bolsters to be made and soldered for 2 Drawbar Thralls and drawbars attached, then 23 to airbrush and decal, add coupler/trucks and walkways to finish (maybe Tuesday). SD70ACe mold (x2) cast parts in mass, artwork overlay for handrails/expose to sun UV's, strip and etch brass (by Friday). It's gonna be a busy week. Hope this helps!! Hobo Tim

Intermodal Update! Greetings!! I want to start out by saying a Great Big Thank You to all the Folks at Micro-Trains for giving us another chance to secure those great 48' TTX Husky wellcars. Wow, and this time with decorated Containers!!! This is my latest project to detail MTL's Gunderson Husky. I use parts from FR's Husky. I like their more detail stirups, and I also used their metal walkays. Then I painted the birdhouse white which signifies that they are capable to load 20' container. The last thing I did was to paint the four vent with a black paint to get rid the solid look.
