Intermountain is cancelling several announced models due to lack of orders. If you want this made, speak up now. Especially if you want the Reading F7's.
I was waiting for them to release a special N scale F7 YN3 CSX with CSX passenger car set. I wrote to them but they replied that due to the bad economy there is not much interest in this model at this time and they hope they can release it in the near future if they get enough support. Man times are tough all over
OK. I was thinking they might have put up a separate page to discuss their situation, and list.... Some of those showing don't really seem surprising. Others do. Argh. Boxcab E50
Too bad they cancelled the X-29. I have some but had preordered more because it was a popular car. Maybe I should try to get some FNS X-29 kits instead.
I was planning on purchasing a ABA set of Reading F7s. I will send them a email and hope they will change there mind!
I am surprised at the Readings' being cancelled. People are trying frantically to find the Reading FP-7s, so I suspect that they are sold out everywhere. Could it be that while everyone wanted the FP-7s, not that many wanted the F-7s? Or is it that people want them, they just can not buy them, things being what they are? MT had FTs and LL had FAs, and I do not see too many of them around. LL had the plastic frame FP-whatevers by Bev-Bel, but you do see those frequently at shows, still.
Unless I'm mistaken, they've just announced a run of Reading FT's, I wonder how they will sell. Perhaps the website should show a graph indicating how many orders they have to go to get enough to produce the models, like those charities use when raising money, rather than just 'canceled' suddenly popping up.
