My name is Gary L Lake Dillensnyder, my online summary name/userid is GLakeDylan (which is more easy on both fingers and keyboard!). I have been modeling railroads since my childhood, my interest beginning with my father's under the Christmas tree Lionel layout. He claimed the Lionel trains (one deisel loco in Santa Fe warbonnet scheme F7 A-B and one steam loco 4-6-2 Lionel roadname) were the first Christmas present for my older brother, but we all knew they were actually Dad's! I modelled HO Scale from teenage years until 5 years ago when a move and less space created the need to switch to N Scale. I model the late steam/early deisel era with so many different roadnames that it has to be a fantasy railroad. I have collected the various passenger sets manufactured by KATO and some others and know that trains from those particular area would not be seen sharing the same tracks with others from vastly different areas or even different time spans. But, that is an issue I have dismissed in my liking of being able to sacrifice that realism for the advantage of running trains from all over the continental USA. So I have most PRR and Reading locos and rolling stocks but also represented are B&O, C&O, Lehigh, Delaware and Hudson, Erie, Erie Lackawanna, Sante Fe, D&RG, Union Pacific, Burlington, NYC, Southern Pacific, Northern Pacific...and so on... I love to run trains that are as long as possible and the 4 tracks mains that were standard for the PRR. Running as many trains as possible has me always looking for ways to add a double track mainline for a other roadnames while keeping the 4 track main for the PRR trains. That allows for 6 trains running at once, which is a hope but not that realistic in my current space. But, then, did I say that we move often?!?!? There is always that *dream* layout in mind that will happen someday when we settle into a home that provides the space adequate for a large trackplan and multiple roadnames. Until then, I make do with what I have and findd enjoyment in both running trains and displaying others that seldom see the track. It is good to be part of this forum site, Thanks to all who are part of it and make it happen! All peace, GLakeDylan
