    Hi Guys ,
"Box-Cab" was asking about Irish trains for N gauge in an earlier posting somewhere. Some Irish steam locos and rolling stock was very similar/identicle to British mainland types. So you could feasibly get away with an Irish layout using British models in N to a certain extent. I also have an old book with some Irish locomotives and their details ,I will gladly scan the pictures and info and send you it Boxcab if you want. There is more stuff avialable for Irish railways in OO gauge . Anyway let me know and I'll collect you some info and pics. or mail me at dcormack@dcormack.freeserve.co.uk

What sparked this interest, is that two Christmas' ago, my wife gave me a set of videos showing rail operations from assorted nations in Europe. One of these features Irish Railways. I thought it was quite interesting. Scenic. And also some preservation activities. [IMG]

Also, somewhere in the British Isles, I have long lost roots. One of these days, when I get rich, :( , perhaps I'll be able to do some exploring.
