I really like the look of most GN steam, and saw the little Bachmann Spectrum 4-4-0 for a decent price. It is numbered #121 with a green boiler jacket. It looks well detailed, but I have not seen many shots of the prototype. I assume it is one of the higher-numbered B-class of locomotives. Anyone here want to weigh in? Also, where did GN run these little guys, and for what services? I'd assume branchline work and mixed trains, but that's a pure guess--I've just gotten into the GN after reading up on NP, WP and some other roads. Thanks! Kevin
The prototype for the Bachmann Spectrum 4-4-0 is Maryland&Pennsylvania No. 6 built by Alco's Richmond Locomotive Works around 1906.
