As an American living in Germany a long long time, I would say, no. It is a nice building, and would be a very nice prize to anyone if you were to trade it, but I would not use it when there are so many other things that would look better. A LOT of HO European buildings could be used for US layouts, especially the brick ones, as the bricklayers and builders of the railroad infrastructure at the turn of the century were pretty much European, right from the old country. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule, but the problem is, people always seem to want to build the exceptions, and not the rule. Sure it is your railroad, and you can do what you want, but you asked the question because you felt it did not quite look right, and you wanted an honest opinion, because you want to have not just a good railroad, but a better one. I also know the difference in cultures, us Americans do not want to hurt anyone's feelings, but if a German is asking for a straight answer, he wants a straight answer, (not that they want to hurt anyone's feelings either ;) ) It a beautiful building, it would look great with my Epoch I Landerbahn, but its not quite right for US railroads.
