You could try light washes in the mortar lines then dry brush hilights on the bricks. Craft acrylics could be wiped off while still wet if you don't like the look.
Saturday, I will be working on my presentation for the PSR-NMRA convention in Santa Ana/Irvine, the Orange Blossom Special. Running some trains on the small layout (larger one is in storage at the moment, will come back out sometime in October) if there's time. Family company for lunch Sunday, then packing for the convention on Monday. Will leave mid-day Tuesday. 4:30AM Monday Got the paint down and realized it is too dark. Will lighten remaining paint and try again. Got track down and am pleased with how it all fits. Ran my Kato steeple cab with one boxcar. Her name is, 'Little One' after a short dear friend of mine. She, (the steeple cab), derailed on a glob of glue but the boxcar didn't so it took extra time to determine cause. Of course, I *should* have run my fingers over it right away. Sigh. Might do a test cardstock today. Maybe I'll just run train back and forth or repaint parts. Note: I only have 2/4ths of the benchwork so I'm practicing scenery on this portion. Besides, this portion is obscured by the way-way-to-big-TV aka: WWTBTV. I have to wait for the future brother in-law to build the rest of the 'flat pack' cabinets.
