Another week of winter is done, the wheels of time slowly turn as spring is slowly seen in the far distance. Projects are picking up in pace, it's time for Weekend Modeling Plans.

While it will be a big model weekend for me, it will not be of the train kind. This weekend, I will be attending E-Fest, a model airplane flying event held at the U of I Armory. It's two days of R/C electric airplanes flown indoors. My Girlfriend, Angela's, company puts it on and my company is a sponsor. Hobbies are a family affair in this household. Lots of fun but I will be going from 4:00AM to 10:30PM, so not a lot of time for anything else. I do hope to have time today to order the last few items I need for my N scale Rock Island and B&M locomotives.

So how about you? What plans do you have for this weekend? Layout work, module work or club work? As said above, spring is in the distance but it is coming, what projects are you trying to get done before the grass turns green and outdoor chores start calling? Let us know what you plan to get done this weekend, with pictures if you have them. We'll all come back here on Monday the 11th and see how we did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and...

Major snow storm here this weekend. It has been snowing for about an hour now. In a little while i'm going to start making a big pot of Chili which will go down good after a couple of hours shoveling the snow. being housebound for the weekend i'll be able to get somemore work done on my T-Trak modules. I also have to reinstall a couple of decoders in my N gauge GP-20's. They're supposed to be drop in, but I have to add some solder to the contact pads because it is too loose in the frame and solder the lower motor tab to the decoder as the tab will not touch the decoder contact.

Hopefully back to working on my paper mill area of my layout. Looking for ideas on a debarker/chipper building.

Yes, big snow storm indeed. We'd already planned on a long weekend in Maine skiing, so we advanced our timetable and left early Friday morning, runnin' a'fore the storm, as it were. We managed to get to our destination in not much more time than normal. The mountains already had several inches of fresh powder, so we skied a half day just to get tuned up for a great weekend.

No trains again, but I'll see what happens during the week. I've been taking measurements for the benchwork for the carfloat, and may start the design during the workweek.
