Well this week went by fast. For me anyway. Did it for you? It's time for weekend modeling plans!

Well my weekend modeling plans are probably not going to happen as I'm leaving early Saturday morning for St. Louis for a weekend of Soccer. It is Soccer season with Jared so just about every weekend we have games, this weekend they are in St. Louis. All is not lost however. I will bring my camera and maybe I'll catch a train or two. I'm sure there are a few good hobby shops to visit when the games are over. Any ideas folks?

So how about you? Are there plans for club work or open houses? Maybe some more track work or scenery? How are the diesel detail and painting projects? Whatever your plans may be, do let us know, with pictures if you have them. We'll all come back on Monday the 22nd and see how we all did. Until then, have a happy and safe weekend and...

    High Greens!

I'm going to attempt to paint a backdrop, pretty sure this won't go well. Should have done this before I laid track, but I'll have to cover everything now.

Well, since you've mentioned the diesel detail project, my "nose art" decals should be at the LHS and I'll pick them up tomorrow. With luck, they'll be on when next we meet on Monday to discuss accomplishments.

We have some folks coming over for a lobster dinner on Saturday, so I will don my chef's jacket, briefly put on that silly hat, and cook up a batch of New England's finest. I want the trains running their best for the visit, so sometime twixt now and then I'll be filling up the CMX car and hauling it around to clean the tracks. It's long overdue anyway.

Extra time will go to the caboose project. I've figured out how to open up my Walthers bay window cabeese, so installation of the Adlake lanterns should be straightforward. The large batch of Life-Like unpainted figures should be in by now, too, so I'll have some of them to add to the caboose interiors. These aren't the kind of figures I'd put at the front of the layout, but they're fine for interiors where the details are less important than their simple presence. Longer term, I'll be putting them into the non-powered subway cars as well.

I went to the Seashore Trolley Museum last weekend. This is what those guys do in their shop:

I will try to get some work done on my new T-Trak module. Tomorrow I have to load up my truck with my HO modules for the show in Kingston on Sunday.

Back upstairs in the trainroom. I've ordered lights that haven't come in. When they get here, I can finish roughing-in wiring. So this weekend, I am putting all the miscellaneous blocking at corners, turns, and other places for sheetrock fastening and fastening molding, etc.

Also, early this morning, I started another Westerfield kit. A Cincinnati Northern (NYC), double door, double sheathed boxcar.
