The weekend is almost here once again. Time to gather up all of those projects and get ready for another productive weekend.

Saturday I'll start by heading to another R/C airplane event but this time it is to sell a lot of the items I no longer use or need, giving me more money for trains of course. I'm going through my locomotive fleet and slowly updating them to DCC, selling some of the older ones and updating with newer ones. I have a project list of GP7's, 9's and 30's that I plan to have detailed and painted for both B&M and CB&Q. I may sell most of my modern Santa Fe, BN and BNSF to help pay for all of this. I also hope to do more work on Maywood Station. I bought my crossing gates last weekend and I'm ready to start working on the two modules that bracket Maywood. Sunday, I may re-organize the home office as I tentively have plans next weekend to start with big plans on the layout.

So how about you? What do you plan to do this weekend? Module work? Bench work? DCC or structures? Whatever your plans are, let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 18th to see how we all did. Until then, have a happy, safe and productive weekend and...

    High Greens!

I will be out of town for an 'Early Thanksgiving' at the in-laws. They have broadband out there now, so I'll be packing my laptop. I have some homework that needs done, but I'll probably get some time for planning and design on the new Carolina, Chicopee & Central Illinois. Hoping to make some more eBay sales so I can get some CC&CI power purchased and packed separately for projects in the near future. Starting to run out of stuff I'm willing to sell to fund other purchases.

I need to round up some 1x4's to get some action going on the garage loop. I have most of my shelf brackets and straight track, just need the lumber and I'll get to work on the loop.

SWMBO is heading to Florida to be with her aging parents for a few weeks, so I should have time to actually get things done. I'm ready to solder up the feeder wires to the lights in the other tannery buildings. Once that's done I can see how much effort I should put into the interiors. The truck frames should be at my LHS, too, so I can upgrade a bunch of cars to metal wheels.

Over the last couple of years, I've kind of sprawled out in the train room. I've got a few tables covered with materials, and it's probably a good time to clean all of that up. Once the tannery is done, I've only got a couple of structures left to build and emplace before the pink foam is totally covered, which means it will be time to begin Phase 3 of the layout. That space now filled with "junk tables" will become the next benchwork, so I'd might as well get started.

I'm continuing the repaint job I started last weekend on the H16-44 I bought at a hobby show on the 9th. It's the decals now.

I haven't been able to get as much done as I wanted to this week. My wife had me driving her all over town on one of my free days. However I did get 6 PSX units installed and an AR-1 unit installed and started running wires. I also go. My extension for the peninsula attached as well.

Now I need to finish running bus wires to 4 power districts, lay some track starting with the peninsula, and then build some structures, also need to start building the mine train grade. Lots to do, lots to do...
