Another week has flown by and with it so has a month as we say good bye to November and hello to December!

I'm in hopes of getting many things accomplished this weekend. Angela is going to be away Saturday so I'm a single man on Saturday. In the morning my club, the N-Trak of Bloomington-Normal, will have a work session on the yard we have been trying to get finished up. All the track is down, most of it is wired. Now we need to finish wiring and start working on toggle switches. On the way home from Bloomington, I'll stop by one of the hobby shops I get supplies from sometimes and pick up some Atlas Code 55 flex track as well as a curved turnout he has in stock. With the supplies, I'll head home, get a bite to eat and then work on the layout.

I finished the switch from the main to the two sidings on Wednesday, now I need to finish the track arrangement by installing another switch on the other end and fill in the gaps. My goal is to get all the track down this weekend. My Kato CB&Q Zephyr E5 set came in, so I may have to assign a road trip and go to another vendor I frequent and pick it up. The weather is forcasted to be in the 60's, so I will take advantage of that and maybe sneek a bit of railfanning in too. Sunday I want to set up the O scale MTH Christmas train and get that working as we get ready for Christmas. That said, I should try and get some Christmas shopping done, regardless of how big a rash I break into when I walk into the mall.

So how about you? What projects do you have lined up on your ready board? Track work, scenery, painting, detailing? Let us know what you wish to accomplish this weekend. We'll all get back together on Monday, December 3rd and see how we all did. Until then, have a happy and safe weekend and...

    High Greens!

Hopefully, I'll get some time to work on the carfloat apron. Our weather looks damp and cool, so my "outdoor paint booth" may not be available for spraying.

Today I set up my modules with the show NTRAK layout here at the train show in Oklahoma City. Then run trains and shop tomorrow and Sunday before packing up and heading back to Texas.

Not sure how much work I'll get done - the teenagers will be here from their mom's for their monthly visit, so we'll be working to get all the Christmas decorations up while they are here. Track laying has stopped for want of a single #7 lefthand C55 switch (It's en route), but yesterday I started working up the section of US 61 that will be on the layout, using Jim's Styrene topped meat foam roadway technique.

Sunday, the VFW organization where my clubs layouts are housed in their building is having a Breakfast with Santa affair for children of Veterans and other children in the town of Walden NY. My club is going to be open during those hours so the kids can come up and watch the trains run. We'll have both our HO and N scale layouts operating. The rest of the weekend and into next week I have to go over my HO and T-Trak modules that will be in a Greenberg show on December 8th and 9th at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown, NY.
