There is a mad dash of people on the street, shouting can be heard, dogs bark, babies cry, sirens wail! Were the Mayans right? Maybe that noise is just last minute Christmas shoppers. Regardless, it's time for Weekend Modeling Plans.

With this being the last weekend before Christmas, I wonder how much I will get done. While all the out of state cards and gifts have been sent and my shopping is done, I still need to wrap everything up. After over a week, I still have not gotten my simple siding done on the layout. Every time I start to commit to it, I'm called away to yet another "honey do" or Christmas obligation. Par for the course for many of us I'm sure. My goals this weekend are similar to last weekends, get that siding down and done, finish up track work in Potter Place, then clean off the layout and let it sit undisturbed until the Christmas and New Years rush is over.

So how about you? The Mayans may have run out of days for this coming weekend, but I'm sure many of you still have plenty to do. How many have shows or are setting up modules for their clubs this weekend? Any track work or scenery? How about DCC or good ole fashioned DC work? Whatever your plans, let us know, with pictures if you have them. We'll all come back on Monday, Christmas Eve morning and see how we all did. Until then, have a happy and safe (free from the end of the world) weekend and...

    High Greens!

I don't think I will be doing any work on my modules this weekend. I have to clean up from my past projects incase I get friends dropping in for a visit. My clubs got a show upcoming in two weeks from Sunday.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone on Trainboard.

Still up skiing, but we come back home tomorrow. I'm off for 2 more weeks after that, so hopefully I can get that carfloat apron finished up and start on the float itself.

Once I get all the wrapping done and out of the train room (!) I'll probably clean the rails and run trains all weekend - the family will be gathering and everyone wants to see the latest. I have a couple of painting and decaling projects to finish and a really messy workbench to clean. But everything else will likely be on hold until after New Years.

I won't get a whole lot accomplished this weekend, but I am on vacation all next week so let the work continue! Track work, electrical work, resolving the dead Yard #3 track, etc...
