I'm off early this weekend, how about you? It's 3:30 am as I write this addition as myself and my fellow modeler and friend of the Galesburg City Job are heading to the St. Louis Prototype Meet. I've wanted to go to this show since moving back to Illinois in 2012 but something always kept me from it. This year our layout will be there and I hope to have a good time. So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 15th and see how we did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Not to much this weekend. Going to a wedding a few hours away, tomorrow evening. Spending the night - returning home on Sunday -- so..... Ya'll have a great weekend!! Wolf
I'll start putting the decals on GTW 1951, an Atlas RS-1 I bought in mid-July at the Seaway Train Show. I also need to finish the steam generator detail by adding the steam exhaust pipe near the rear cab wall (short hood side). It's a rainy weekend, so this will keep me busy, and once I'm in my train bubble, I'm completely oblivious to what goes on outside.
This week I started laying track in the staging yard. First track I've put down in 8+ years. Yesterday and today we're out of town and heading back early in the AM. Tomorrow afternoon and Sunday I hope to get more down.
I doubt I'll get any modeling done this weekend. I'm going to Modesto to visit with my kids on Sunday, but may do some railfanning while I'm out that way.
I am still stripping a bunch of N Scale Model Power bay window cabeese. I want to fill the holes in the roof tonight
