Welcome back everyone to the gateway to the weekend. I want to first take a moment to thank everyone who sent prayers and well wishes to my dad. Last weekend was a tough one but after this past Tuesday, he started making a recovery. His recovery is slow but it is recovery and certainly a move in the right direction. Thank you once again.

So what is going on this weekend in the work shop, train room and layout? Let's get started.

Saturday: There is a possibility, albeit slim my dad could come home this weekend so I have to leave time open for that. This Sunday is my clubs model RR show so Saturday will be spent preparing the venue for area modular clubs and vendors. This will be our clubs 37th year running this show and it is now the biggest train show in New Hampshire, north of the border of Massachusetts. After helping out, I need to turn my attention to the lawn as five days of rain has allowed it to grow tall quickly.

Sunday: The Concord Model Railroad Club's 37th annual train show will start at 10:00am. I really kick myself for not bringing my HO layout but I'll enjoy the show just the same. The show ends at 3:00pm and I'll stick around to help the club pick everything up. Any mowing that did not get finished Saturday will likely get finished today. I moved my grandfather's F-150 the other day and plan to start working on replacing the fuel tank and getting it ready for the winter. I'll see how the weekend shapes up but those are the rough plans.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

We’ve got family in town until Saturday night, so we’ll be doing something tonight and tomorrow until we take them to the airport. My wife was able to take off work so she’s got a plan-just been too busy with work to keep track of it.

Sunday I will need to weed the garden and work on the boat before it gets too hot or rains in the afternoon. Almost certain it will do at least one, and maybe both. But that should afford me the chance to clean up the workbench, write down a list of supplies to buy, and maybe glue down the foamboard to the shelves-which I have wanted to do for the last couple of weekends.

@Jim Wiggin still praying for your dad's recovery.

Well, my modeling plans went out the window last weekend but this weekend should be better. I learned of a fairly new and reasonably close LHS that I plan to check out Saturday morning. After that, have some errands to run an will try and knock out the laundry and stuff during the afternoon. Thursday was our 21st wedding anniversary so we celebrating that Saturday evening with a nice dinner out. Sunday looks clear, just our normal morning activities so that will be modeling day. Going to start by heading down to the train room, brewing some coffee, set a train or two running, and then work on the pipe load for a gondola that I didn't start last week. Weather should be nice enough to get a base coat of paint on a pair of grain trailers as well. Found some more metal wheels so will install some of them, and I may even consider working on some of the rewire work I need to do.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!!!

Happy Friday all. This weekend I have 2 things to do. I finished plaster cloth on the large mountain project. So modeling time this weekend will be painting a base coat on the scene and then cleaning up. I use A LOT of plaster cloth. I also heavily masked off the area with a drop-cloth on the floor. Fortunately what seeped under the masking and cover was minimal and easy clean up, but still needs to be done so I can move on to other things after getting the base coat of paint down. Also today I am picking up a new vehicle today and will probably spend some time this weekend programming stuff in the XM radio and nav systems, synching the garage door opener, and generally just checking it out.

@Jim Wiggin ...turning the corner to recovery is good news. God love the dads and continued prayers and vibes for his well-being.

Everyone have a great weekend. College football starts here on 31st. I'm stoked!

    TGIF to Y'all

@Jim Wiggin -- Continuing prayers for your Father's continued recovery!!

It is supposed to rain this Sunday and Monday -- good 'ol hurricane Hilary - coming up from Mexico. We'll see if she reaches us.

My plans are simple -- decal my SSW F-7's
(And - start getting our place ready for my Niece and her Husband's visit next month - they are coming in from Austria)

Y'all have a fantastic weekend - stay cool,
    Wolf

Good morning from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio!

Today, I hope to get some painting done and maybe some decaling, but that won't happen until we take the animals to get their nails trimmed. After that we start the second week of bowling and I hope the good bowling continues. The Post Office should be delivering my new Scaletrains 5800CF PS Covered Hoppers for Plastic Pellet Service, they will go along with my Rapido ones.

Saturday is club day, but it may be cut short as we are going to Toledo to meet with our niece who is in from New Jersey, but I hope to get some decaling and construction work on a 89' tofc flat.

Sunday, is laundry day along with some painting and decaling and some more construction work after I determine which kit I should build next.

Jim, good news on your dad, I hope recovery continues on the upward trend.

I am hopeful that after some family issues are dealt with I can get my mojo on by building some turnouts for a yard project. I need five #8 for one end off the yard to include a double crossover junction and entry/exit. For reference 801 and 802 are the mains along the back and run up to a double track helix after the bridge. The rest of the yard plan is still up in the air a bit.

A side project will be some color experimentation for adding mostly standing water to a dry creek.

Jim- I hope your dad can come home, very soon!

I just received a couple of printed HOn30 hopper cars, which I plan on detailing up for M-O-W service on my "empire". That will likely be the extent of activities, and last into Monday with painting and decal work.
