Welcome back everyone to the gateway to the weekend. Thank you for the continued support for my dad, I'm hopping to have him home in the next few days. Tom, glad to hear about your wife's recovery. I hope you all had a great week and are ready to kick off another weekend, let's get started.

Saturday: There is a possibility of getting dad home this weekend but we'll see. I need to move a hospital bed into the front room which will require a lot of cleaning and re-organizing of the room before bringing in the bed. I also need to go get supplies for the F-150 project of replacing the fuel tanks. If I'm fortunate, I'll have the bed off and getting to a point of verifying the parts I need to order.

Sunday: Depending on Dad's situation, I may go up and visit him. If he is home, there will be plenty to do in terms of cleaning and meal prep. Then there is that dreaded laundry.

So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 28th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe and as always...

@Jim Wiggin continued prayers for your dad's recovery and for you to have the strength you need. Great to hear he continues to improve.

This weekend is a bit of a toss up for me. The original plans have gone out the window including the special occasion dinner that was planned for Saturday evening so I feel like I'm in a holding pattern until I get more info on what is on the agenda. If I do find some hobby time, I have plenty of projects to do. I got a pair of grain trailers primed this week and I'd like to get the next coat of paint on them. Have another pipe load that is in progress and would like to keep that one moving forward. Have a few more set of metal wheels I'd like to install and the list goes on. I think there are only two loads of laundry to do so that won't be bad. Maybe if no modeling I can figure out how to detour by a hobby shop and add to the project list.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Jim Wiggin I hope things work out with getting your father home this weekend.

It’s been another long week. I did get my truck fixed but there is quite a bit of yard work to do. Mostly weeding so I should get that done in Saturday morning. Going to try and meet up with on old friend later in the day.

Sunday I might try and check out a hobby shop and/or finish my track plan. I’d like to work in a scenicked staging yard as an intermodal scene, but not finished with that idea yet.

When I run into a mental wall, I will see if I can unload some of my excess stuff. Haven’t had much interest in most of the items I put up on the swap page. So I may see I can get a bit more interest on that auction site. I’ve got a few more items to post too.

@Jim Wiggin Here's to a homecoming and petitions to the "Big Guy" to make it so!

This weekend will be miscellaneous things, cleaning track, sprucing up some wall paint that has gotten nicked/chipped in a couple of small places, and who-knows-what-else. That's for the AM coffee to decide.

Have a great and peaceful weekend all, stay cool. Cooler weather and college football on the way next weekend. Absolute best time of the year.

Good morning from sunny and mild Northeast Ohio, a big difference from the storms and wind from last night, ended up going to the basement with the tornado warnings going up around midnight.

I never got around to posting what I finished last weekend, but it was not much anyway as I had a lot of bowling stuff going on along with a trip to Toledo etc.

This weekend, I have to conduct an audit of the bowling association financial statements and then go bowling this evening.

Saturday, going to the club in the morning to meet and then run some trains, later we are going out for dinner with some friends to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary.

Sunday, hope to paint a boxcar kit I finished during the week and then work on decaling a G39 ore jimmy along with cleanup in the modeling area as it is getting bad.

Glad for dad's progress. :) Plenty of projects. I understand. (y) Good luck with the auction. ;) Yep. Needs to be cooler. Forty-three years! Yippee! :love:F7 on the cusp of completion. TRAINBOARD THREE LOCO.jpg

Where to begin? As you can see, the three locomotive project has been called complete. The start date on this was February 16th, 2023. Completion date: August 21st, 2023. This averages about two months per locomotive. If there was less procrastination, the time would have been less. From left to right we have 2-8-0 GM&O #2994, 4-4-0 Gulf Mobile and Northern #33, and 2-8-0 GM&O #2998. The two consolidations have “The Alton Route” slogans on both sides of the tenders. #33 American was inspired by pics and information on Hawkinsrails.net. A number of new techniques were used on this project. Overall, these were successful. ;) A more distant focal length was used to hide the many “warts” that seem to pop up. I like the improved roof lines. Crisper tender lines and laser cut cab sides I had previously mentioned. There are some alignment flaws that may not be visible to us regular humans. :cautious: Also, in the rear of the line-up is the old Mogul (jealous, not doubt). Everyone have a great weekend. :D

@Jim Wiggin continued prayers for your father's recovery and hope he comes home this weekend.

Does not appear to be any modeling this weekend. The wife and I are heading down to Rehoboth Beach, DE once I get home from work today for the weekend. This is another test to see much she can push her limits.

If any time opens up after we get home I still have track laying and wiring to do.
