Look at that! We've made it to another weekend! Hopefully you are prepared for a good one!

My "weekend" started on Thursday but any weekday I don't work at the bill paying job is spent working at Wiggin Locomotive Works. In the shop this weekend is an O scale, 2 rail GP60 that is getting painted up in a local short line color scheme. No one makes decals for this line so for the past few weeks, I've been hard at work making a decal sheet. Looks like I'll be getting into the decal business too.

I'll be putting on the finishing touches to the Galesburg City Job NW-2 switcher and starting work on a Paducah Built GP10 in N painted up for the ICG. Oh yeah, looks like I have a Rock Island GP7 in blue and white as well as a ICG GP40-2 I need to get started for a show that takes place in September. I also have all the mundane stuff that has to be done such as register my business name with the county and more but fortunately, I have Angela to help me there.

If I get all that done, Saturday will be my one true "day off" before going to work on Sunday. I really want to install my NCE system into the Galesburg City Job so I've started the process there. I may have enough material to also start laying the massive concrete yard that makes up Butler Building. We'll see. Feel free to keep up with either Wiggin Locomotive Works or the Galesburg City Job or both on Facebook or soon coming to a TrainBoard thread near you!

So how about you? What is on that ready board this weekend? Little track planing? Track laying? Maybe building some structures? Whatever your plan is, share it with us. We'll come back on Monday the 10th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

Nothing specific planned. Am hoping to sit down at the work bench for a few minutes, at least. Plenty of projects I can pick up on, and move forward.

276-4363.JPG Looks like some time running the railroad this morning. Been thinking of building up a BN Grain train using Accurail covered hoppers.
SP is the favoured road but BN had my favourite locomotive the Alco C-636
