Good morning, good evening, wherever you may be. It's time once again for the weekend and that last stretch to get all the Christmas items finished.

Saturday: I'm anticipating a busy day at the dealership, then I'm taking Angela out for a Christmas Date Night and enjoy some German food at our favorite German restaurant.

Sunday: With Christmas coming this Wednesday, I may just finish with last minute Christmas items. The B&M layout has been sitting idle since Thanksgiving and I miss operating it. It would be nice to work on it but I guess we'll see what happens.

So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 23rd to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, may it be prosperous and safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Well -- at the moment I am fighting off some sort of bug--- I'm not feeling to good.

    Saturday:
So -- if I am able to fend off what ever is trying to knock me down -- I will finish off my F3 project.
I have the nose medallion to put on. Then some final details and some touch up and detail painting.

Sunday: - If all goes well Saturday -- Clear coat and final assembly.

    Where I left off:

This weekend I am visiting family and might stop at the hobby store there, one of my favorite model train shops. I just got my finals done at school, which means that I am off for holiday break. I need to finish a bunch of projects from the past year, namely painting two passenger cars and my Hogshead boxcar. I haven’t been at my workbench in probably a month, so now I have a few weeks of trains.

Way to go Trainiac!! I hope you get some time to get that Hogshead "tobacco" car done. That is a very interesting car. And a great build project.

Well, Friday was off early to go see the new Star Wars movie. Despite the critics, I liked it.

Saturday is another trip to TN.

Sunday is at least a half day set aside for the train room. Looking to finish some shelves and work on scenery some more. may start on another MOW car project I have been thinking about. We'll see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Be safe if you are out and about this last weekend before Christmas.

Well I started my weekend Thursday but alas I ha ent gotten anything done. The structures I’m building are at a standstill. I need to work on repairing one of the module frames though. I would also like to start working on the track on both modules.

Saturday I will be giving a clinic on building trees at the local NMRA meeting.

Sunday we are heading out on vacation. So nothing else will be done this week.

I have 3 projects in the works right now, a 4th N depot which is painted and wired and is in the detailing phase, a custom structure for "bostonjim" he calls Capen House that I just finished the structure walls, and I just got the tools and parts to make my double size 3 piece T-Trak-Z module set which are almost all the way drawn up for magnetically held pin and slot alignment.

Here is a picture of the prototype Capen House I am building for BostonJim. As you can see it's a 2.5 story wood lean-to structure that sits next to 3 story brick downtown storefronts, and designing the walls has been a challenge this week, but I am done with those. I am now in the process of adding lighting, then I'll paint the walls all white. I still have to draw up the window parts and roof parts, and of courst the covered stairwell and balconies.

rray, that is awesome! Three projects at once. I am impressed. As for me, yesterday I began the Murphysboro, Illinois, passenger depot. The first step is dimensioning the structure. The next is a scale elevation drawing. I am still on step one here. This is more complex. Also, the old depot can still be seen on google maps satellite and street views. Just an FYI. All have a great weekend and stay safe.

Plans...surviving the holidays....wife surprised me with palm trees. Few things scream Southern California than palm trees. I was given 5 JTT palms that are 3.5 inches tall….I really don’t like palms, so to the rear they go
