The weather forecast sounds the same with each and every week, more snow, more cold. This directly translate to more train time!

I'm starting out my weekend by heading to Bloomington and meeting up with fellow club members to clean, freshen up and get running a few of our club N-Trak modules. We are hosting a Club Fun Run the end of march and we need to get our N-Trak modules up to spec as they have not been used in a number of years. I'll also be working on my T-Trak modules and trying to get some additional modules built for my Maywood Station scene. Two more modules complete the look I'm after. I want to finish Maywood so I can start work on a few more T-Trak modules. Last but not least, I need to get some 14 or 16 gauge wire to use as bus cable for my N scale layout. I would like to get some more track laid as well as hook up the DCC and get some locomotives programmed. A lot on the list but since I have to work an airplane event next weekend, I got to get in as much as I can this weekend.

So how about you? What is on your list of things to do this weekend? Let us know, maybe with a picture or two. We'll come back on Monday the 10th and see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend and...

It's skiing for me. I've got my car packed and will be heading up to Maine right after work. I've got a brand new pair of skis and a brand new foot of snow to enjoy them on. So, nothing will get done on the layout this weekend.

But, that brand new foot of snow kept me home from work on Wednesday, so I made productive use of the time. Over last weekend I applied Gypsolite to "texture" the ground around the tannery. Wednesday I applied paint and turf, and a bit of "shrubbery" to disguise the line where the liftoff meets the fixed layout. I found my supply of Pikestuff guardrails downstairs in my workroom, and made up a couple of sections, which are now painted and ready to install.

I got some more decals in the mail today. I'll get Alco S2 #478 lettered this weekend. Maybe I can get more done with my U28C also.

I'm planning on driving down to Charleston tomorrow for the NMRA Mid Central Region, Division 9 "Coal Division" meeting unless something comes up.

I need to get a bottle of solvaset somewhere. I have 4 or 5 projects waiting on that. Hope to find locally.

Going to a train fair this weekend near here in Laval. This one is all trains, all scales. First ime I've seen this one advertised - the model railroad scene is getting more active around here - a good thing for a train pervert like me.;)

I figure I have in excess of 40 projects I am working on, including this pile of new/old stuff that can be seen here: nvrr49.blogspot.com. Also I have my small business tax return to do.

With the finishing of my oil refinery it's time to move on to two bridges. I hope to get some stuff done this week even though my wife is having surgery.
