One of the disadvantages to working retail is one never has a true weekend, this working Saturdays and have a mid week day off has me all confused! Sorry I'm late but, better than never!

I have a 8:45 to 5:00 shift today (Saturday) so I doubt I will get any railroad bits done today. Sunday however, we are going to get more ugly winter weather and I now have all the track I need to finish the two remaining modules. I hope to get as much of the track down on module two as possible. This module has the most turnouts, seven in all, but I should be able to get enough of the track down so as to get the track down on module three. I've been busy with other projects in N scale, mainly some more locomotives to detail and paint, a few decoder installs and some computer bits. Fortunately it looks like it is all coming together.

So how about you? What do you have planned for this weekend? Let us know, we'll come back on Monday the 12th to see how we all did. Until then, stay warm and...

Probably a slow weekend for me. I spent an hour each morning before work this week pulling spikes and rail up in the old yard. I needed some rubbing alcohol to loosen the ties and ballast' but I ran out. Not really worth a trip to the Dollar Store in 5 degree weather, so very little progress since Thursday.

I should go ahead and start planning for the trackplan for the industrial coatings plant. Looks like I will use a Walthers Bulk Plastics Silo Storage kit and at least two other structures, I could work on some mock ups...

I'm still working on that structure. I've got the walls (6 sections) assembled into 3 right angle units, with the doors and windows glued in place. I've cut the foamboard piece for the second-story floor, and printed up computer sheets for the wood floor and cinderblock wall interiors. I'm not planning much of an interior for this one, as it's back in a corner, but I don't want a totally bare inside in case someone should glance through the windows.

I picked up a section of flex track at my LHS yesterday. He took a week off as his wife needed hip replacement surgery. I'm happy to report that she's already walking and even climbing stairs.

Saturday afternoon was spent watching the Patriots victory, though, and Sunday will see more of the same for the other games. But, I've got that old piece of plywood that doubles as a "portable workbench" on the coffee table, so I'll get some modeling in during the contests.
