Put out your black cat, tune up some Black Sabbath, it's time for a Friday the 13th Weekend Modeling Plans!

I love Friday the 13th's as I always have a good day on them. Which means I'm either not very superstitious or I'm one of the evil ones. I'm going with the first. The only real model railroading I'm doing this week is to continue cleaning up my collection and putting locomotives I no longer need or want on that auction site. While I was married, both myself and former wife had a strange desire to own every Atlas, Kato and Life-Like release. Now that I'm just fully detailing B&M and CB&Q stuff, I can thin the herd a bit. That and the money is going to a big announcement coming soon. With June on us, my work takes over and now I'm mired down with building model airplanes for review as well as the show season that starts now and continues until November. Other than work, maybe a few detailing locomotive projects to keep me happy until work on modules and layout starts again in the fall.

So how about you? What do you plan to do this weekend? Yard work (RR Yard work that is), DCC, painting? Whatever you plan on doing, let us know! We'll all come back on Monday the 16th and see how we all did. Until then, go out tonight and check out the full moon, there won't be another Friday the 13th full moon for another 200 years! Until then...

    High Greens!

As foretold in prophecy, the passenger cars were primed on Wednesday and the stripe was painted on Thursday, so the next step is adding the decals. Then I'll overspray with satin clear and put them back together.

It's lumber time. The official reason is to get some pressure-treated boards to replace the rotted ones on the deck, but while I'm there I will get the wood for the Phase 3 benchwork. This will be a small corner section which will serve as the other end of a liftoff bridge and the gateway to future staging. Since I plan to retire this year and will be leaving our high-tax home, I have to keep everything easy to disassemble and move. I am fully prepared to not finish this section here, or even to have it be a throwaway, but with time on my hands, who knows?

I plan on straightening the ridgeline on the roundhouse, it's definitely not straight enough. Then more trusses, 2 more sets to go. I hope to get some run time on a new PROTO SW9, Fingers crossed, I'm hoping all goes well and it just runs like it's supposed to. A trip to the LHS for Kadees and questions/advice on a decoder. Input from here welcome as well. (ACC for the details?) Once I get the color figured out. I kinda like it the undec. grey. Yellow handrails? Bobby
