Another week is about to end and I'm sure we all have something planned for our model railroad activites. After two weeks of not getting much done, I get a free weekend. I'm single this weekend as the girlfriend and boy are out of state starting tonight and into Sunday night. This means I'll have the entire weekend to work on things. I'll start my weekend tonight by setting up at my Model Airplane Club's yearly swap meet and continue Saturday morning. I'm hopping to sell a lot of RC stuff. After the swap meet, I'll head back here and work on my bridge modules. The Heritage locomotive for Galesburg is about 90% done as far as decals. That Blackbird scheme sure looks nice on a modern ES44DC! I hope to finish with the decals tonight or sometime this weekend and finish at least one for my railroad club's meeting on Monday. Lots to do on my bridge module, but with at least a solid day, I should at least have trains running on it and maybe have a tree or two. So how about you? What are you planning on working on this weekend? Let us know with a bit of text and a picture or two. We'll all get back here on Monday the 12th to see how we all did. Here's to zero distractions this weekend! Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Boy Scout merit Badge at the club. It is an all day affair with many scouts attending. At the end of the day the scouts qualify for the Railroading merit badge. We started this several years ago and now we have a waiting list of scouting groups who want to attend.
I'm planning on assembling and fine tuning a few pairs of HOn30 freight car trucks. Plus, who knows what/if anything else.
Not likely to get much accomplished this weekend. Going to get more pictures taken of HO stuff and get them posted here and on that auction site. May buy some more 1x4's for benchwork construction. Tempted to go ahead and build the framing and stash it away in the garage until the time comes to rebuild. Sent from my LG-P930 using Tapatalk 2
I'll be continuing work on the Railway Express Depot, and maybe continuing to redecorate my passenger cars. There are a few small scenic clean-up jobs on the layout, too. We may get some outside painting weather, and if time allows I've got a few locomotives I'd like to paint and decal. It could be a trip to Home Depot for benchwork lumber for me, too. Penny is still in Ireland, so I can take her minivan and load it with wood.
Last weekend I picked up two different sets of Tamiya weathering powders, and so I plan to see how they work with a few est cars. Gotta get some cheap hairspray first.
I finally got myself resupplied. I hope to get some stuff done but won't be able to hit the train room until monday if I want to stay alive. Plans are to rewire the programming track then finish gluing down more track. I also need to find some time to start a couple of structure kits.
