As the weekend train pulls into the station we all think, "what can we get done this weekend?" Well lets hear what you have planned.

My progress on the six modules that will make up the Galesburg City job are getting closer to completion. I hope to get one last module converted to the new standards I set up for these, then I will have the all six base modules on their own legs and ready for the next step. I'm still debating on just laying 1/8-inch ply on top since the area modeled is largely a flat industrial one, but part of me still likes the 2-inch riser with a 1/2-inch plywood sub roadbed for track and foam for terrain. I'll do some more thinking on this over the weekend but so far I'm still leaning towards the risers and foam. I've also been working on my double length T-Trak bridge Module, slowly and carefully added the foam and shaping it with a hot wire cutter. I cut the plywood sides with a jig saw to get the profile, then glued in my bridge abutments and now the foam is being used to form the two sides of the river. I hope to ad the plaster cloth this weekend as well as a few other scenic details.

So how about you? What projects do you have on the work bench? Track design? Track laying? Maybe a bit of ballast? Whatever your list may be, let us know. We'll come back here on Monday the 13th, Columbus Day, and see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend and...

We had planned to be in Maine this weekend, but those plans fell through so now I'll have some train time. What I won't have, though, is my LHS. They're on vacation for a week, so I will not be able to pick up some items I need.

I got all the track sections cut and pinned in place for the yard throat. I cut all 5 tracks even with the end of the module, so disassembly will not be a problem if it becomes necessary. I was thinking that I could cut the foam base for the last module of the chain and install the tracks, but I'm a few sticks short on flex track, and as I realized last night, almost out of rail joiners.

So, I've still got wiring to do to finish up the turnout and frog power, and I'm going to add some more wires for panel LEDs, which I will need to pick up later from my LHS. Then, it will be back to scenery. Once I get to the point where I can't do any more until the glue and plaster dry, maybe I'll tackle some maintenance jobs that have been piling up, or start on a freight car or structure kit.

I hope to lay the curve that was worked on last weekend. Also I need to build my roundhouse. That will start me off on the next corner of the layout. Also gotta visit the hardware store.

Unless my wife has plans that I am not aware of, I hope to start ballasting a yard and possibly planting a few more trees. With the NASCAR race on Saturday night instead of Sunday this will give me another day to get work done.

I revived an order of new pin vices and drill bit, so several projects that have been on hold can now resume.

Out of town for the weekend, wont get much done. I will likely resume my RailShops Carbon Black Hopper build that been delayed over a,year with out #80 drills. I may also start my F&C B&O M53 boxcar build as well.

I should be getting my custom run decals from Highball in the next week or so, that will be exciting to finish 6 locomotives, initially.
