We had a break thanks to someone who had nothing better to do than hack into our site but we are back so lets get to it!

I have been busy in the shop and hope to decal the D&RGW GP30 this weekend and get it close to wrapping up and headed back home. The BN 1990's era caboose models are now ready for dulcote and some serious weathering before re-assembly. Last but not least, the #4424 Rock Island GP9 rebuild is finished, complete with box art and ready for a new home once I add it to the on-line store.

With work in the shop done after tomorrow afternoon, I'll transition to working on the modules. I've been busy...

Control panel mock up. These mini control panels will hold all the Tam Valley turnout controls for each module. The panels attach easy enough thanks to a T-Nut and bolt in the back which allows the panels to come off the modules during transport. These should really help in future operation sessions. I'm at the end of the prime, fill, sand repeat process and since this weekend is supposed to be nice, I'll have the panels painted and working by Monday - I hope. I'm also building structure kits for the layout at a feverish pace as well. Lets hope I have a great weekend to get all this done as the clock that ticks, ticks louder on the impending due date!

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? let us know! We'll come back on a very scary Monday the 31st to see how we all did. Until then, work safe, have a great one and as always...

    High Greens!

Thanks to the imposed break from Trainboard, I started ballasting track on my switching layout. I hope to have the last of that completed tonight, then I can spend the weekend touching up and test running to check for issues. Also need to start on the ground cover.

Last weekend, I finally got off my duff and started "laying" down the streets for my downtown areas( I am using Woodland Scenics road system). So, this weekend I hope to get some paint on the streets and sidewalks. Then I can proceed with the ground cover on the rest of my layout.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

This weekend will be mostly Sunday only working on the layout. Plan is to get a coat of paint down on the homasote bed I've put down. Once dry, I hope to start laying track on the mainline. I've also gotten about 5 or 6 samples of different ballast from Scenic Express. I plan on putting 5 peices of scrap track on a single board and compaing the color/size. I'll need a lot of this stuff and want to make sure I get a good ballast.
