Hey we're almost to the weekend! Time to get that list fired up and see what we have planned in the world of Model Railroading.

I have a very busy weekend, one I have planned for a while. Today I have to clean the layout, clean the track, install a new TCS decoder in a Santa Fe GP35 and program both it and my older Atlas GP9 I painted up back in the 90's as BNSF 1685, then check a few of the switching scenarios I put together. Once that is done, it's time to start working on a customers N scale GP30. Today it gets all the details and ready for paint so I can hopefully start decal work in a two weeks.

Saturday is the big day. I'm starting Saturday morning early to help Angela set up her booth during the Monticello RR Days and downtown extravaganza. Not RR related, but hopefully a good day for her. I'll then steer Jess my Jeep towards Decatur where I'll be meeting up with a few friends for breakfast before heading over to the Decatur Train Fair. I plan to spend a few hours walking around and talking to friends as I wait out the rain that is supposed to be gone by mid afternoon. From there, I'll railfan the former Wabash from Decatur to Bement to Monticello where the Monticello RR Museum is having their RR Days celebration. A few of the guys from the Mid State Prototype Group I started, are going to meet me for dinner in Bement before heading back to my place for my first open house operating session. It's gonna be a fun train filled day!

Sunday, I'll spend some time with the ladies (Angela and Jess) by treating Angela to a nice road trip and lunch. A nice way to thank her for dealing with us foamers. For Jess, I'll treat her to some 87 octane and good wash and wax or "Jeep spa treatment". All in all, a weekend I have been looking forward to for a few weeks now.

So how about you? What is on the model railroad horizon on your end? Let us know. We'll come back here on Monday the 19th to see how everything went and what you got accomplished. Until then, have fun, get a lot done, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

Later tomorrow afternoon hitting a football game. But other than that, I'll be in the train room. Goal is to get mountain and cloud back-drop painted so I can get some plywood down and start laying tracks leading out of the staging yard into the actual layout.

Also want to start wiring. I've ordered toggle switches for the yard to use in the control panel. When they arrive, I'd like to have the undertable wiring done so all Ill need to do is build the panel and hook it in.

I'll be working on my riverbed. That'll take up most of my work time. Hope to get it done this weekend. As next weekend will be another camping trip.

    Ya'll have a great weekend,
    Wolf

Something railroad related will happen, just no set plan at the moment.
