We are heading into our first weekend in September! Better get those layouts ready for a season of open houses and modules ready for a season of shows. It's time for Weekend Modeling Plans!

As soon as I do a few things this morning in my office, I plan to start my weekend off by heading to my storage unit, AKA, Work shop and start more work on the 4-foot by 18-inch modules. I'll be essentially building kits so that when my buddy gets here in two weeks, we can assemble four straight modules in N. Hopefully with a lot of prefab done, it will give us some time to look around at the Decatur train show as well as Monticello RR Days. I'm really looking forward to all of this as it will be a nice break. Since Decatur is only two weeks away, I also need to look at my T-Trak modules and see if I have enough time to get my scenic bridge module done in time. I started that module this past spring but since May, it has sat dormant.

So how about you? What do you plan to work on this weekend? Track plans, track work or maybe take in a train show? Whatever it may be, let us know! We'll come back on Monday the 8th and see how we all did. Don't forget, that Sunday the 7th is Grandparents Day, so if you have Grand kids, take them to a train show with you. Better yet, if they are old enough to have a job, have them buy you some train related items! Until Monday...

Nothing for me. I'll be leaving work in an hour or two to head up to Maine. We'll be camping in Freeport at a state park. Our daughter is doing another triathlon in the park, so we'll be there to watch. I'll be "off the grid" for the weekend.

I have my mountain mostly carved out, just need to start on a coal truck dump so I know how to carve the hillside around that location.

I need some plaster so I can cast rocks and start gluing them into place. I saw a video of Mike Confalone hot gluing rocks directly to floral foam, I'm hoping the hot glue wouldn't melt the insulation board foam and hold the rocks in place.
