Another weekend is in the books for many of us. We are in the darkest days of winter even though outside temps feel more like spring. Hopefully you got some progress on your projects.

I had a busy weekend. After going through my information and measurements from last Sundays expedition, I realized I had to change my track slightly.

Here is what I had originally. I figured the main, (off to the right) would work ok and the spur was far enough away from the station. Well further review of my notes and the spur was way to close to the station and the extreme bend of the main was wrong. Out came the tools once again.

Now we have the above. The paper cut out is the Potter Place station, the prototype main is straight ahead and the "model main" is off to the right. The spur is gone because we will not see it as it is further up the line then originally thought. It looks odd now but when scenery is done, the model main will not be seen and the prototype main will only be seen at track level because of the dense trees and the Route 11 over pass.

Christmas stuff came down and with it the 10 car Christmas train in O. Most of this all was packed for the big move coming in March.

So how about you? Did you get done what you set out to do? With the warm weather in most of the country, did anyone go railfaning? Leave your responses below, pictures always appreciated, and well do it all over again this Friday the 13th.

    High Greens!

No modeling. With twins on the way, I started to get into high gear into cleaning and organizing. Which meant adding more shelves to closets, and starting to prep the 2nd bedroom for their May arrival.

Non essential stuff went into the garage (old plastic kits, built up structures from my past layouts). Any thing else went up in the 2nd bedroom closet on the highest shelf. Good thing is, I now know where everything is....more or less. :)

As usual my weekend plans are always bigger or more productive than what actually gets done. I had ordered caboose rigid N scale ground throws for my hand laid switches. My problem now is the stock throw rod piece bends when the ground throw "pushes" the points back to the non-diverging position. Looks like all of the switches will need to have their throw rods cut off and replaced with steel wire for more rigidity.... hope it works.

I always post late on this one whenever I do post. Nothing too exiting, installed decoders into four more locos (roster nearly done with exception to my genesis SD70 series locos as I am holding out due to cost and that I don't need them anytime soon). Did a few Kadee coversions on locos and cars, and installed more shelving for off layout fiddle yard / storage. This week I am working on another DCC / Sound install and will be doing some shell hacking on two custom pained TCW SD20 locos ....I purchased the newer run GP20 locos with DCC and Sound thinking I could swap the shells.....nope minor design changes.
