With Friday the 13th behind you, I hope you got a lot done on your projects. Nothing really for me. With an airplane show on Saturday and my allergies at an all time high on Sunday, I got zero done. So how about you? Did you get some layout or module work done? How about some op sessions or shows? More track work or wiring? Whatever you did, show us with words and maybe a picture. We'll come back and do it all over again on Friday, July 20th. Until then... High Greens!
Slow but steady, I guess. The mailman didn't bring the static grass applicator, but I did some prep work and picked up materials. I went to my LHS for static grass, and the craft store for glue, plaster cloth and matte medium. I carved and cut some foam, reducing an old pink cliff down to a rounded hill, and adding some interest to an otherwise flat space. I spread plaster cloth over them to smooth the contours and fill the gaps, and then added Gypsolite on Sunday for texture. If the machine shows up today, I should be all set to give it a try.
Finished the second snowshed - at least as far as I can take it while away from home on vacation. The only things left are to plant it in the scenery and cover it with snow (hence why the roof is unfinished) md
I accomplished very little. I glued on Nathan P3's on 2 GP7's and touched up the scenery on the end module. Nothing worth bragging about. I'm off today, but too much stuff to do around the house to get anything else accomplished.
I was only able to get one of the middle modules done for my T-Trak yard as I ran out of track and cork. I don't have any more time to get it ready for the show this Sunday. Plus a shot of a couple of Turkeys and their Chicks hanging out in my yard.
The biggest hobby related things I did were (in no particular order): 1) Accidentally spark an interest in the hobby from my other daughter, not the one who has been interested for a while. 2) Go to Clamshell Railroad Days on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington and run some trains on the On30 layout. 3) Meet x600 and other members of the Mt. Rainier N-Scalers, as well as meet the United Northwest N scale club and talk to them. I also put decoders in my two new RS-11s, but I don't think that mattes much either way for the hobby itself.
