I got a lot of items for the Galesburg modules, mainly detail items, a few structure kits and renewed my B&M historical society dues. The show was busy on Saturday making it hard to navigate the isles at times but I think I got to see everything. No real deals like I have found in the past although I cleaned one dealer out of BLMA detail parts. Overall all a great time. Now my buddy Brian and I are getting ready for the train trip back home which means we should be home Tuesday night. So how about you? What you did you get done this weekend? Did you go to any shows? Maybe you stayed home and got some track work or scenery done. Whatever you did, let us know, with pictures if you have them. We'll come back on Friday the 5th and do it all over again. Until then, be safe, have a good week and... High Greens!
I was able to work a bit on my projects. I did need to clean up my work bench - so I concentrated on that. Went through my storage drawers and found a bunch of cool stuff - I forgot I had!! Now, that was cool!! Wolf
Friday started nice. I was able to install a few decoders. 3 P42's have new Digitrax SDXH166d's, an RS11 has an digitrax DH165AO and will get repainted. This will end up on a RSD frame and turned into an RSD 12. The RSD shell will become a RSD 3 on the rs frame. I attempted to install a tsunami AT1000 in an RSD 4/5. Install worked, speaker I bought for the decoder was too big. Will finish this one in a couple of weeks when I can return to the LHS fora new speaker. Sunday my daughter helped with some Ground foam on the painted mountain and it turned out well. All that is left in that small area is trees, ballast, and a few small details. That's it for my weekend.
Other chores came up, but I did manage a major clean up and straightening of the train room. I'll take that as a win.
Been working on N scale ATSF heavyweight passenger cars. Modifying old Rivarossi cars with etched sides.
I was a bit busy building the Blair Line Fred and Red's Café kit. It's not quite finished but it's close. 014 by WPZephyrFan posted Jan 31, 2016 at 10:05 PM I also dug through some boxes looking for some old N scale kits that I had squirreled away. Finding them was like Christmas! That made it a great weekend!
I managed to get my HOn30 critter project shell into primer. Discovered a couple of places that needed a bit more putty and sanding. The frame is painted and done. Started a Funaro & Camerlengo SR&RL box car kit.
