We're back fresh from another weekend. How did you do?

I failed. Even in the air conditioned workshop I was sweating profusely trying to get the simplest tasks done. My goal was to finish up the Butler office which I had gotten a large chunk of done. As I was getting ready to do some needed surgery to the module, my mind wandered to one of the large buildings that makes up the Butler complex. By 4:00 that afternoon, I had a building roughed up and partially built. Probably will not have it done for the prototype meet but progress is progress.

Sunday was more hot and sticky weather. the air conditioner started at 5:30 am and never shut off during the course of the day. I got a bit done on the modules but without ability to open windows for ventilation, scenery was a no go. As a native of New Hampshire, I really dislike summers in the midwest!

So how about you? What did you accomplish? Let us know. We'll come back on Friday the 29th to start the process all over again. Until then, stay cool or try to, be safe and...

    High Greens!

I got ties installed under the gaps in my track where flex and turnouts joined up, also hand painted ties and rails where needed, like the points. I had to reinstall a couple of Caboose throws when they detached themselves from the foam. Oddly, the two that came loose were fastened with caulk, whereas the ones I did with white glue have stayed solid.

I also found a building kit I don't remember buying, so decided it was time to re-inventory all my train stuff, just to remind myself what I really have on hand. Kind of surprised myself, because it turned out that I already had some items that I'd been thinking about picking up in the near future.

It might be that age thing, but instead I think its that I've been buying too much stuff. Yeah, that's it!

Had a very good weekend. Finished up my friends O scale depot. My friend is very happy with it. And - I finished constructing two Central Valley Pratt truss bridges. Next comes paint. Now - for a new "wood" trestle. Have all I need for it (I hope) - LOL

    Thanks,
    Wolf

Very little. One HOn30 passenger car coupler conversions. The rest of the time stressing, fighting PayPal and Medicare garbage.

Managed to get most of my goals done. Did get some legs braced on the bench. Pretty tedious work cutting the angles, but its worth it one done. I have several more to do and that's over. Also got some work in building the smaller "C-C" beams for the CV Bridge I'm working on. Just keep it moving forward. Also spent some time in planning. I think I've decided on a yard throat pattern for staging. Plus, I started a mock up for table top mounting of Tortoise machines. I'll have quite a few Tortoise motors in the staging yard and it will go much faster if I just mount them up top. Saturday afternoon I stopped w/ the train stuff. My son took me to IMax to see Star Trek. Good movie.

I've been rather busy with fixes to some locos that decided to get cranky. Some wiring and electrical fixes on an Athearn FP45 to get the headlight back, a good lube job on an old Atlas SD24 that was doing some weird things (making lots of noise but not going anywhere fast), so I didn't get very far on my MOW cars. I know for sure that changing the factory horn-hook couplers on the searchlight car for Kadees is going to be a bear.
