We are rolling into June, with graduations, school ending for the kids and summer plans on the horizon. How did you do this past weekend?

Angela and I took a nice Saturday off together. With me being gone for shows most weekends for the past few months, it was good to spend some time together. Sunday I worked on the big storage unit clean, organize and de-clutter project. After a day's work, I can see the floor again. Still plenty that must be done before I slowly start working on airplane projects. Gathered up some excess N scale models that are bound for the on-line auction site and called it a weekend.

So how about you? Did you get everything done that you had planned to do on Friday? Let us know, maybe with an image or two. We'll all come back on Friday the 6th and do it all over again. Until then, have a safe week and...

    High Greens!

I put some finishing touches on the Railway Express depot, mostly scenic materials. There's still a bit more static grass to go.

Right now, the street looks like it's just been mowed, and it's awaiting the invention of leaf blowers to clean up the clippings.

    From the track side:

As I was working on this siding, I realized that this was it for Phase 2 trackwork. This is the last track to be glued down, and now I've finished the ballast as well, except for a few touch-ups.

My camera arrived on Friday, so, as promised, here's a better picture of Dorothy and friends:

No more pictures, but I did get back to my passenger car project. I cut the nameplates from a piece of aluminum flashing and decaled 4 sets. I'm still undecided about whether to put a nameplate on the baggage-combine car. Two cars are painted and have number decals, but they need a satin overcoat to seal the decals, and then I will re-assemble them.

    I love it!

I want the three stooges as gandy dancers, Laurel and Hardy as trolley car crew, Abbot and Costello as baggage handlers....I'll think of more..

Red Green as engineer (Edgar Montrose as fireman), Hap Shaughnessy as station master, and Benny Hill to check out the tickets (and a few other things...)

Nice ! Personally I think Red Green would be my roundhouse foreman. Now where can I put Herman Munster and Grandpa?

This was the first time I've tried "people-bashing" figures. My goal is this scene:

The wedding train then becomes the anniversary train. Salute and best wishes.

Congratulations Grey One. No time / energy for the railroad this weekend, I did take a couple of pics and will try to get them up this week.

I'd pick Bill Smith for fireman, (can you imagine Red and Bill together in the engine cab?), and use Edgar as the conductor. Harold as dispatcher, wow, what a fine mess that would be!
