Come to a close, this weekend has become. Hopefully you did and not tried to get things done this weekend!

Saturday was a beautiful day with temps in the 60's. This was the day for us to make our shopping trek to nearby Normal and stop by a fellow railroad buddies house to drop off some items then hit the local grocery store. From there, we went home, rested up and headed to Springfield with some friends and Angela's Mom to celebrate my Sweetheart's birthday. Sunday however was my day to get things done. I started by finishing the Spray booth project I had started before Christmas. I got a power strip with an 8 foot wire bolted to the shelf I had made for the spray booth back in November. This allows me to neatly plug in the compressor, spray booth and fluorescent light and turn them all on and off with one switch. I then performed a spring, deep clean of the work shop, something I have been trying to do for some time now. With everything organized and put away, the shop is now ready for all the custom paint that needs to get done soon. With that bit of cleaning done, I got back to work on my bridge T-Trak module. I got the scenic base painted and started to add the base ground foam, river bed rock and dirt. I'll let it sit until tonight when I put more scenery cement down along with more ground cover. This isn't a deep river, more of a river stream so the water isn't real deep and with a few sand bars, I want some fly fisherman out there casting. I'll start working on my pine trees tonight, which I plan to have a lot of. Next weekend is my clubs big show so I need to get this module ready to go. Overall a very productive weekend.

So how about you? How did you do this past weekend? Did you accomplish all that you set out to do? Let us know! We'll assemble again on Friday the 27th and do it all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

    Copied from the Friday thread:

    "I prepared a P2K GP30 for painting...
Veteran GP30 #3207 was pulled out of storage(and prepared for paint)"

Painted both 3207 and 3210. Also added lettering, sill stripe & herald to engineer side of 3207.

"...continue decal work on the KBL boxcar."
Check, applied all data and center stripe to the Kanawha Belt Line boxcar.

"...receive a package with a large quantity of Sergent couplers today..."
Already assembled a couple pair. I have the rest with me for assembly this week in the evenings.

I also added insulated joints connecting the point rails and the closure rails at two turnouts. Nearly destroyed one when the closure rail popped off the ties, had a heck of a time spiking it back down.

I got my closet organized, decided to organize rail cars by road name; many have boxes but loose ones went into see through boxes: overview 003.jpg

The bottom of the closet area got a cleaning job as well, threw a bunch of junk away and organized my paint, miscellaneous, and landscape supplies:

No longer afraid to open the door, also will be much easier changing out the stock on the layout.

I also got some raw footage for the layout update done, maybe get that edited today or tomorrow.

I goofed when painting a laser building kit. Somehow I warped one piece. So spent time trying to flatten that out again.

Didn't get much done this weekend. But, Saturday, I went down to Chuck's and picked up an Athearn N scale Burlington Northern (ex GN) F45 and a few cars.

A lot of progress made in painting and detailing the Atlas GP7 as CN 4809. The decals are almost all on, I added the horn and bell, and found some lenses for the large barrel-type headlights that CN used on these units - there were some spare headlight lenses in the box of an old Athearn PA and the smaller ones fit perfectly! Pure serendipity... I took the PA out of the box for some maintenance and saw them lying loose in there.
