Time to call this weekend a wrap and see how we all did.

My weekend was a nice quiet weekend being a single man again. The domestic crew left Friday night after work and by 4:30, I had the place to myself. Saturday morning was our annual RC Model swap meet so I spent the majority of the day at the club flying field. Didn't sell as much stuff as I wanted to, but some money was made. By Saturday afternoon, the day was so perfect with little to no wind (A rare thing out here), I decided to dust off a few models and see if I still knew how to fly. Since everything got packed away in the same shape as when I took it out, it appears I can still fly. Jess lost her doors and top and I gave her some needed attention with some cleaning and a quick run around some of the old ROW's in our area. Sunday was a nice day to sleep in and work on my CB&Q heritage ES44DC's. I finished the decals on both units and will clear coat and assemble them today. No work on my bridge module, so that will keep me bust this week leading up to the Columbus N Scale weekend.I finished the weekend by cooking some BBQ chicken on the grill with some tater saled just in time for Angela and Jared's return home. All in all, a great weekend.

So how about you? Did you have an action packed weekend? Let us know what you did with a picture or two. We'll come back on Friday the 16th to start another weekend. A program note: I will be conducting the WMP thread from Columbus Ohio for the N-Scale Weekend, so don't be surprised if the thread runs a bit late. Until next time...

    High Greens!

Action-packed? Does watching the Bruins count? I started my weekend Thursday night. My daughter was coming in from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. My plan was to watch the hockey game and then go pick her up. The connecting flight from Newark was delayed many hours, and we didn't get home until a quarter to 2 in the morning. So, I bagged Friday. Then, Saturday was another Bruins game (they won both) and I sat in front of the TV and put shingles on the roof. Still less than half done, but there's another game tonight.

As always, it's the details that take all the time. This project is the only modeling I did all weekend, and it still seems like I've got a lot to do.

I worked on gluing my unitrack to my layout and testing cleaning track. Did get some running in which was nice.

Dug through some of my dad's N scale stuff. He started building a coffee table layout years ago, still not finished. I had given him some stuff when I last dabbled in N scale 12 years ago. He wont use most of it, so he gave me whatever I wanted.

I reclaimed a pair of Atlas beer can tank cars, a Bachmann 41' flatcar with MT trucks and a B&O boxcar. Also reclaimed a Life-Like GP18. It has truck mounted couplers and an open pilot, doubt Ill keep it unless I can buy a newer shell with body mounts and cut off the truck mounts.

One boxcar on the way from fleabay, so my car count went from 4 to 9 over the weekend.

Still have tons of HO to sell, not moving as quick as I had hoped.
