Another weekend is behind us once again. How did you do with Friday's List?

Friday I spent some time trying to get the river sides shaped on my new bridge T-Trak module but took Saturday off as it was 100% beautiful and we don't have too many of those days left here in Illinois. Sunday however, I was back at it, converting the last of my former B&M modules into the new CB&Q modules. Fortunately the way I designed these modules, the track work for the B&M is all intact since I only had 4 feet of track done and all I needed to do was unscrew a few screws from the risers and lift a four foot section out. Later, perhaps next summer, I'll build another 4 foot long module for this track work and continue on with Potter Place NH. With all six module frames now done, I only need to add the legs and braces to one module. Next is to firm up the track plan and to verify track placement. This may require a trip to Galesburg next weekend to the Galesburg RR Museum and see if I can research a track map for the area we are modeling. The goal of getting all the "storage unit" work done before the cold is almost reality as we slowly transition to more appropriate indoor track and scenery work for the long winter months.

So how about you? What did you get done this past weekend? Track work, scenery or shows? Let us know. We'll come back here on Friday the 17th to start the process all over again. Until then, Happy Columbus Day and...

Just a 2-day weekend for me. My LHS took the weekend off, and I ran out of supplies, so I had to switch gears. Specifically, I ran out of both flex track and rail joiners, so after cutting the foam and fitting it into place on the last module, I laid down what track I could (just pinned in place) and then moved back to scenery.

The liftoff bridge will have "water" running beneath it, so I did the prep-and-painting work on the river bed.

I will probably add some turf and ground foam tonight, and maybe some field grass as well. I'll save the Envirotex for next weekend.

The final project was re-badging my 0-6-0 switcher, from GM&O to Milwaukee. I kept the number, removed the GM&O lettering and put on a Milwaukee Road logo.

This one isn't my accomplishment, and has nothing to do with modeling, but my daughter and her boyfriend took eighth place in the North American Wife-Carrying Championships on Saturday:

Got the curve installed and ran my long trains through it. My son did a wonderful job at getting the alignment right. Now it's time to pull out the soldering iron.
