Well it has happened once again, the weekend ran out and here we are at Monday again. How did you do?

Friday was a great day. Quiet, no interruptions and working on a customers D&RGW GP30. I was able to get a lot of the details put on while listening to my favorite podcast. I also did some design work for my upcoming Inglenook cook off that a few of us here in Central Illinois are participating in. Writing was also in order for Friday so all in all, a very productive day in the shop.

Saturday I worked more on the GP30 as well as started to work on the modules for the up coming Milwaukee Trainfest. I also decided that in light of the impending move, I still want to build at least one module out of the eventual 3 I need to add on to the City Job. Lessons learned while building the first three will be valuable here and building the modules now while I have the room would be beneficial.

Sunday was spent working on the Inglenook project when Angela announced to me that there was a problem. Her phone had taken a turn for the worse so unfortunately the rest of the afternoon was spent at a store getting her phone situation taken care of then filling in the remainder of the day performing domestic duties.

So how about you? How did you fare? Let us know what you did with an image or two if you have them. We'll assemble once again on Friday the 7th. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

I had a very productive modeling weekend.
I finished phase one of my river crossing. The bridges and trestle are set. The initial layer of ground cover is down.

The plywood strip to the left of the river now has ground cover.

The tie fillers are in on the ends of the bridge and trestle approaches. As well as the guard rails. (What a pain that was)

I also repaired (rebuilt) a troublesome turnout.

Got the "asphalt" put down for my PMT facility.

Rebuilt the ramp walls for my sand and clay unloading trestle. (Took a little creative license with this)

    That's about it.

Hope ya'll had a great weekend,
    Wolf

I killed a snake in my train room. I was looking over some scenery ideas for about 15 minutes when I glanced down and saw a 2 1/2' black rat snake hanging on the bench work right beside my waist! No catch and release. It was dispatched with my .177 pellet rifle.

I spent all of Sunday in Sacramento at an air show starring The Blue Angels. I haven't seen them since I was in junior high. I was to see a train on the trip to and from but no luck there. Still a great time.

I feel your pain... same for me...worked late all last week to finish before Saturday. Unfortunately... modeling anything is 'off the table' for a while.

Thanks to my wife's recent job change and our move, this was the first year in a decade I DIDN'T have to work the weekend of the EOY. It does suck the wind right out of you though.
