I hope you all had a great weekend and an extra day off. Did any of you get any modeling done?

I lied a bit on Friday. I had forgotten that I had planed to have a fellow club member over on Sunday to airbrush some N scale Willys woo woo woo Jeeps he is going to use as flat car loads. A mixture of 6 resin and 4 metal plus a bunch of wheels were airbrushed and will be shot with a cflat clear and assembled some time this week. Other than giving Jess, the Railfan Jeep a deep cleaning with water, soap, clay bar and a final waxing, not much else railroad related was done. It was nice to have a day to remember all our service members who gave it all so that we could enjoy the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

So how about you? What did you do this weekend? Did you get anything accomplished railroad themed? Let us know, we'll all assemble here again on Friday the 30th and do it all again. Until then, have a safe week and...

    High Greens!

We had some nice, big steaks for dinner on Saturday and I went for a bicycle ride on Sunday. I had planned to get a haircut on Friday, but instead had a long, slow drive home. It seems some dingbat decided to do a carjacking and high-speed chase on the 4 lanes of Massachusetts Route 128. If that's not enough stupidity already, how can you have a pleasant, relaxing high-speed chase on 4 lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic on Friday afternoon? He didn't get very far, but he made the traffic oh so much worse.

Instead of the haircut, I selected these 4 figures from a bag of Life-Like unpainted models:

I did some surgery to re-position some arms, and used floral wire and putty to add hats to a couple of them, and some bulk to another:

At this point, I must apologize for the poor photo quality. My good camera died after tens of thousands of photos, so I need to get a new one. These are cell phone pictures. Sorry. Anyway, after some sanding and painting....

I am in study mode for my annual trip to Oakland. No modeling for me until after I get back from northern cal and the family vacation to southern cal a week later. So I will have nothing more to report until the end of June.

Love the figures ^! Creative. Got the flags put out, about 750, decent progress on the roundhouse. Waiting on a lightbulb to appear as to how to make the hinges for the doors. Hope to have some pictures for this weekend. Bobby
