Good Morning everyone! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend with plenty of sunshine and moments of reflection.

My weekend started off Friday night after work with an unexpected purchase:

Meet the new Jessica. She is no longer green but more of a Zephyr Silver and even has the letter Q in her plate registration. The past few months I had been tossing around the idea of trading the Cherokee in for a newer utility wagon from Jeep, Dodge or Ford, but I came under the realization that Jess needed a lot of work. At almost 20 years old, the 1997 body was rusted through and though I have a storage unit full of body parts and replacement parts, the one thing I lack is TIME. With Wranglers having better resale values than the Cherokee and the Cherokee in much better shape, I traded in the green 1997 for this silver 2006. Needless to say, my Friday and Saturday was busy with all things Jeep, which isn't a necessarily a bad thing.

I have managed to get some railroad things done too.

Here is Brian's 2-rail O SD35 frame, fresh from the paint shop. The white stripe is easier to paint but it requires one to completely disassemble the entire frame. Mean while, all the bits of plastic that make up the pilots and other details are painted black and then the whole thing gets put back together again.

Since this is Bloomer again, the body has been painted Chinese Red. Tonight I'll mask and paint the upper portion light gray and hopefully start decals on it tomorrow night.

The rest of the weekend, I spent time working on my cassette style module transport for the Galesburg City Job. I had the Mk I. version for the Columbus show but wanted to improve on the design. I basically installed more cross supports and have started to cover the sides with fascia board for a neater appearance. Hmm, maybe I need to paint it Chinese Red since it looks like a high cube 40 foot boxcar......

So how about you? What did you get accomplished this past weekend? Let us know, with an image or two if you have any. We'll be coming back before you know it on Friday, June 3rd to start the process all over again. Until then, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

My garage cleanup project is mostly done. Now I have a place available to build some modules I'd had in mind. Just need to get some lumber, and clean out the room I want to use.

Had an awesome modelling weekend. Have about 95% of the first phase of ground cover done in my switch complex done(An area of about 4' X 6'). Half on the switch complex trackage is ballasted. Got the storage tanks (liquid sugar) for my Sunkist plant pretty much sorted out. Now I can finish the ground cover in the switch complex. I will then move on to the back of the layout... getting that ground cover done.

Thanks, and hope ya'll had a great weekend,
    Wolf
