Turkey is purchased, bread for stuffing is ready, pecan pie...check, code 55 track...yup! Looks like we're ready to roll out the Turkey Day express onto the high iron!

I like many Americans will be busy in the kitchen tomorrow with all the things that must be made for the big feast. A last minute change in plans brought the feast to our home so frankly, I'm a bit excited to make a meal that is based on my New England heritage.

Friday, all of us will avoid the Black Friday Plague as I like to call it. Instead we will be getting the house ready for the next big thing....Christmas. This means the MTH Christmas Train will come out again, complete with the MTH's 2015 car. I only run five cars because at this point I have cars going back to 1997 and I would need a lot more track and probably a two engine consists! Since we are in a new home this year, we'll also do a bit of outdoor lighting and decorating.

Saturday I plan to work on WLW projects then slowly transition back to the Galesburg modules. I have a bunch more track work to take care of as well as switch machines that need to be installed before everything transitions to scenery. I'm hoping my buddy from up north can make it down for next weekend so we can do the scenery.

Sunday, I hope to work on the modules more and relax a bit from the Holiday before heading back into work.

So how about you? How many get to have a long weekend? How many are going to try and get some modeling done too? Let us know what you want to get done. And for fun, lets see how many like myself are getting those Christmas Trains out. Post your pictures of your Christmas themed trains as the season is here!

Finally, I want to send a sincere blessing of Happy Thanksgiving to you all. To the men and women of our Armed Services who can not be home for this special time of year, I want to say a hearty "Thank You for your service." The world is a chaotic place but we still have much to be thankful for. We'll come back here on Monday the 30th and see how we all have done. Until then, stay safe, pass the gravy and...

    High Greens.....

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Busy busy weekend. I plan on pulling out an old DC loco and living it up and changing the coulplers on it Friday. Thursday I may get some stuff done but doubt it. Not sure about Sunday but hopefully I will get the carts painted and start setting out track for the next section of the layout which will give me a continuous loop when done and a nice staging yard. I will take pics of the polar express (9 car consist) and maybe a movie of it Thursday. My wife wants her hog warts express to run better so I need to purchase some Lionel 48" curves to replace the 36" that came with the set. It won't stop derailing.

Well, last weekend I wasn't able to work on my layout. (Purchased a new car for the Wife) -- so, this weekend I will get to my turntable and whisker tracks.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

Gals-n-Guys, I wish All Y'All the Happiest of Thanksgivings. Camilla and I will celebrate Thanksgiving at our son's with his (our) family, so it ought to be a blast.

BTW, I was shopping at our local Winn-Dixie grocery on Sunday and was nailed by our local TV station (WLOX) for a Thanksgiving grocery shopping interview....

What you sees is what you get.. (sorry about the 15 second commercial, but somebody has to pay the bills...LOL)
