Hello Friends The wait is over! The second Diorama from John Cubbin is finished! Stunning and incredible detailed. See the whole 6 month progress of this Master Piece. Enjoy! http://www.rosetown.ch/News/news.htm
i have never seen work that good in ANY scale. these pictures are simply astounding! this goes beyong "ground cover, details, and technique" this is art -- high art! what an inspiration! dave
Absolutely stunning. Here's a question for you Z scalers: is a microscope required for this kind of work or do you have superhuman vision? I have seen work on this Z scale forum develop over the last couple of years. The work you guys have accomplishished is absolutely amazing and I glad you share it with us Eric
Yeah, the water is killer - best I've seen! Jürg's website has John's technique outlined (I appreciate this). I love how he did it - genius idea, really. I would like to know what color Heki and Silflor grass he used. Some of it looks modified, like he painted it after it was installed. Great stuff - thanks for sharing!
WOW, This is just to coooool Once again he has raised the bar for Z-Scale model building. It's hard to keep up with this level off quality. He has to stop now so that we amateurs can catch up with him. I'm guessing that I must increase my nightly hours with building time now to stay in the game. A true inspiration for future building times.
That is excellent work. I would really like to see John build a Z-Bend Track module, as his work would be absolutely stunning to see at a train show, where it can be shared with lots more people.
Great looking Diorama, looking at the pictures here it looks like a huge world from the details. The detailed descriptions from your website make it WOW from this to THIS??. Thanks for all the detailed info. Kim
Fantastic modeling...... I love to look at the pictures and am amazed at what has been accomplished in 'Z' scale, however my brain sees the images and thinks 'N' as usually in the pictures there is no reference to compare to. Jürg, I noticed on your website a head on picture of a SD40-2T in SP paint. I would like to see a picture showing a HO model next to a N model next to the Z model of this engine, to really show how small these engines are. Somehow for my mind that's the only way you can grasp the supurb modeling going on here is buy compairing to ready to run models in other scales. Fantastic work!! 2slim
Hello Friends Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate that I can show this piece of Art for everybody. Remember all the work is done by John Cubbin, my part was to pay for it.
As my Missus will often ask when she is looking at a photo, is that real? I've been fortunate enough to view some of the Nn3 and Z folks' modules and layouts from time to time and there are some very talented folks out there. This is one of the best. I've been tempted to dabble in Z scale but several things hold me back. One a sizable collection and investment in N scale. Two is that my eyes along with the rest of me is getting older. Maybe some narrow gauge at some point but that is as far as my eyes will let me go.
It's O-scale!   Drop-dead gorgeous!!! :teeth: Benchmark-setting work for every scale.
Couldn't agree more! It's been great to see Z scale take off like it has & some very talented modelers along with it. Jurg,if this is the quality of your work in Z,you do realise you could be doing some really stunning work in N scale!
