I'm telling you the more I look at that cab forward picture I flat out am amazed! The weathering on the loco and cars and the fall colors are just too real. That is one of the best pictures I have seen. Fall and steam, doesn't get much better than that. That makes me feel like I am somewhere in the 50's getting close to thanksgiving. I am glad you posted that one Jurg!
Jürg, that AC12 pix had better make into to MR. Tomm really out did himself on that one and the line up in that shot is right on !! .
Wow. Amazing. You could ask 100 model railroaders what scale that photo was and I doubt any would guess that it was Z. --Mike
The cabforward shot is a winner!! If it could be post-processed to look like old color film or black and white even...who knows! Oh, btw, the base weathering on the cabforward is described in my upcoming weathering book, available for reservation at Feather River Train Shop. I don't get into all the detail on it, but of course I can answer questions after you see the book. (horn tooting=off)
Wow, I go away for a show for a few days and Fall's a busten out all over Z! Fantastic work as usual. Always setting the bar just a little bit higher which is good for all of to see what can be achieved. Photo's like these inspire and motivate and that's great for shoving Z forward. Joe MTL
Yeah Tom, some more shots from ground level so that AC12 looks HUGE (and MR's happy because it is a ground level shot, improving odds that it gets in the damn magazine). .
