I just read a newspaper article about John Ruh of Edgebrook, IL, describing his layout that is based on scenes along the old Route 66. The article and accompanying photos make what he has done sound outstanding. I wish I could see more of his workmanship.

Does anyone know John, and if he would be willing to post some photos on TB?

(I also posted this on the Inspection Pit Forum.)

By any chance, is the article available on line?

Here you go, Ken... John Ruh in the Chicago Trib. Sadly, it's w/o photos.

Apparently the Trib is a member of the Knight-Ridder organization. Consequently many other K-R affiliates picked up the story. I received my copy from a cousin in Phoenix, but I saw on Google that the Providence, RI affiliate also published it. Perhaps you have a K-R affiliate in your neck of the woods, and you could persuade them to run the story in their Human Interest section....?
