Just finished my Dad's B-day present, he models CNW and although he is really into model railroading, he doesn't own a computer and therefore has never really seen anything this detailed before, we see them all the time b/c of the forumns and talent here. THanks to Craig, for the GE nose kit, althought the grabs irons are different on the C44-9 than the ac4400, the drilling template was a real lifesaver, and thanks to Sandro for all of those little warning labels, althought they were a collosal P. in the A., they came out looking really good.

    Can I be your daddy?
    Very nice work!
Have any CNW green? Painting all the handrails, and highlighting the endrails in white will really perfect the job! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Fantastic!! No doubt he'll be impressed, especially if he's never really been introduced to this level of detailing before.

    Nicely done-

Hemi- before you wish for something, make sure sonny boy has been emancipated, has a good job, plenty of money and no further schooling in sight.

I would really like one of those. I am a father as well, and I model CNW, and I don't have a computer either, yeah, thats the ticket.

lol, I'm sure I will be getting a few "long lost father" letters in the mail, coincidentally close to your b-day's too huh? lol, actually hemi, I have a dead match to kato's cnw green, but my dad is a runner and since he will have to handle it alot, I opted to just leave them black, I think black looks better thank green with a bunch of chips, the paint never sticks to those damn handrails, and I have tried pactra paint, it sticks but is really hard not to get it too thick, it masks too much detail, thanks for all of the praise, Dustin

I'm impressed. It'salso good to hear that some people leave the handrails the plastic color due to handling problems. I been been pondering just that issue recently.
