Another part of model railroading ...just realizing i could enjoy! A mosr gracious THANK YOU to all who contribute...........................................:doctor:
Hope the foot problems get corrected soon, What about going through the old junk box and see if you can bring anything back to life or maybe bash something together out of pieces.
Ward Kesic: I'm well acquainted with diabetes related foot problems and none of them are good. I'm a diabetic myself dependant on insulin and pills. I have a condition called Charcot foot which is something you don't even want. Because of it my right foot is very badly deformed. The ankle joint is completely destroyed and my foot is turned full over on it's side and is totally useless. I've been wearing an orthopedic boot for the last eight or nine years so I can at least walk a bit with a cane. While it does limit what I can do I can still work on my layout, drive my vehicle when needed, mow my parents property (five plus aces) using a tractor with a belly mower. I can't however hold a job as the condition gets aggravated and I land in the hospital with a bad infection. Most of the time I'm home-bound. If it wasn't for Social Security I wouldn't have anything. At least my home and vehicle are paid for. Take care of that foot or you may end up like me, and you don't want to end up like me.
