Okay, I think I'm going to break down and get this to go behind my two CB&Q E9's that I can't bring myself to paint for Amtrak. I can't remember if there is a thread on this, but what is everybody's opinion on this set. It looks good to me.
The train is absolutely gorgeous! It would look fabulous behind a set of Q E units. My fav part is the lighted drumhead and rear marker lights.
I'll put it this way. One of the most over-used phrases in these types of discussions is "raised the bar". In this case, Kato did truly raise the bar. Kato quality is always impecable, but what really sets this set apart is the prototypical accuracy. Just to illustrate my point, the ONLY complaint I recall seeing is from someone who claimed that some of the equipment on the bottom of some of the cars was in the wrong place. My only concern is that Kato will keep doing this and my wallet will never recover.
