Has anyone used traditional joiners with Kato track? If so how well did it work?

I have heard some people do that with no problems. The only problem I do see in doing that...is there will be a sizable opening where the plastic Unitrack joiner should be between the sections of track.

Part 20-045 - Snap Track Conversion Track

You can use regular rail joiners in place of Unijointers on Unitrack. It is a lot like Snap Track at that point with the above mentioned ugly hole where the Unijoiner is suppose to be. However, joining non-Unitrack to Unitrack is kind of the raison d'etre of the "Snap Track Conversion Track;" Kato part 20-045. Removing the Unijoiner is cheaper, though. :)
