Hello Everyone: For a few minutes today I got out of the house and headed down to the Downtown area of Gulfport to see what I can find. The first stop was to check out the KCS Yard and when I got there I see 4 engines sitting on the house track. Here is the picture Picture link: http://csxboy187.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3528039 After getting my picture I headed down to the KCS/CSXT Interlocking for a few minutes and I catch 2 trains coming by first up was CSXT Q145. Picture link: http://csxboy187.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3528069 Q145 will meet CSXT Q606 in the siding at Harbin once Q145 got out of the way here comes Q606 blowing by me. That is all for this report intill next time everyone. Aaron Gulfport, MS
The other side was also blanked? Maybe it had some damage? Or could it be coming off lease and going to be returned, then sold? Or? Hmmm.
Hi Aaron, great photos. I especially like the cluster of locos in the first photos. Those locos are sitting in the old G&SI engine terminal area from the late 1940's before G&SI stopped running passenger service between Gulfport and Chicago. I believe there is still evidence of the turntable in that area, though not sure.
