I just came back from vacation visiting my wife's sister in Atlanta and I took my 4 year old son to Kennesaw Station to do some railfanning there. What a great location to go to. Kennesaw is a quaint town and the station is right next to the tracks coming out of Atlanta with benches to sit on and the station is open 9-5 to get out of the heat if needed, air conditioned and a bathroom also. We got to see road crews with their rail trucks(I'm not sure of the name of these vehicles) come off and on the tracks 4 times. We had a mixed freight of 16 cars being lead by a B30-7, then a C44-8W lead a run of empty auto carriers. Then a CR SD70MAC/ C44-8W with a mixed freight. All within a couple of hours. Too bad I wasn't able to stay longer or go back.
Bobcat, Sounds like an interesting show! I don't get much CSX traffic around these parts (w/o travel of 1+ hours) so I appreciate the report! Harold
